Mil VECES UN INSTANTE

mIL VECES UN INSTANTE - TERESA MARGOLLES

This short documentary follows the unveiling of Teresa Margolles’s monumental artwork Mil Veces un Instante (A Thousand Times in an Instant) in London’s Trafalgar Square. Drawing inspiration from Aztec skull rows, the piece merges the faces of the living and the dead—700 portraits of Trans and Non-Binary people—into one powerful structure. The film captures the emotional resonance of this public installation: an act of remembrance, resistance, and collective visibility. Through moments of reflection and beauty, it portrays a community reclaiming space and presence in one of the world’s most iconic civic landmarks—an assertion of life, identity, and enduring strength.
